Lena Semenova

LENA SEMENOVA (RUSSIA)

Laureate of the 1st Prize. (The First Paganini Moscow International Violin Competition, 2003). Foundation Scholarship holder since 2004

Elena Semenova was born in 1986 in Ryazan, she has been studying violin since five years with her father – Honored member of culture of Russian Federation V.A. Semenov. By Extern with distinction graduated from The Ryazan Music College (V.A. Semenov violin class). With distinction graduated from the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky State Conservatory professor Ivanov violin class.

At the moment she is a doctoral student of the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky State Conservatory.

Laureate of the International competitions:

  • 2009 — International violin competition «Vibrarte» Paris, France (1 st Prize);
  • 2008 — IV International competition named after D. Rodriges, Spain, Madrid (1 st Prize);
  • 2005 — International violin Kanetti Competition, Hungary (Grand Prix and Special Prize);
  • 2005 — IV International violin competition in Kloster-Shontal, Germany (1 st Prize);
  • 2003 — First Moscow Paganini Violin Competition (1st Prize);
  • 2002 — III Yampolsky International Violin Competition, Penza (3 rd Prize);
  • 2002 — Fourth P. I. Tchaikovsky International Contest, Xiamen, China (3 rd Prize);
  • 2001 — “Virtuosi of 21st Century” International Competition, Moscow (Grand Prix);
  • 1995 — International Competition named after S.S. Prokofiev, Moscow (2 nd Prize).

Elena gives concerts in Russia and “near abroad” and has tours in Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, Holland, Egypt, Israel, Spain, Ñhina, Poland, France. Perform with different symphonic chamber orchestras.
