Laureate of the 3nd Prize. (The Fifth Paganini Moscow International Violin Competition, 2007)

Born in Seoul, South Korea (1985). Began violin studies at 4 with Prof. N. Kim. Studied at The Julliard School, Prof. D. DeLay and Hyo Kang (1994 – 2001), Indiana University, Prof. M. Fried and P. Biss, Graduated from the New England Conservatory, Boston (2005). Appeared with many prestigious orchestras and recited worldwide. As a chamber musician regularly performs at famous international festivals. Was represented by Carnegie Hall for European Concer Hall Organization series (2002 – 2003) and gave recitals in leading concert Halls. Received National Public Radio “Performance Today” Award (1997) and Pro Musicis Award (2006). Holds The Avery Fisher Career Grant (2007). Plays 1778 Gagliano violin.

  • Laureate of the Leopold Mozart International Violin Competition (2006): 1 st prize, Mozart prize, Mozart Medal, Jugendjury Prize, Audience Prize.
  • Laureate of the International Vilin competition of Indianapolis (2006): 4 th prize.
  • Laureate of the Premio Paganini Competition, Italy (2006): 2nd prize.
