DANIEL AUSTRICH (GERMANY)

Laureate of the 2nd Prize. (The Third Paganini Moscow International Violin Competition, 2005)

Born in Leningrad (1984), now St. Petersburg. Resides in Hamburg. Graduated from Hamburg Music Academy and the Cologne Academy of Music. Full scholarship at the Oberlin Conservatory, USA. Makes recordings for music radio stations in Germany. Plays recitals with many soloists, orchestras and conductors worldwide.

• 2001 — “Jugend musiziert” German Competition (1st Prize);
• 2005 — Beethoven International Competition, Austria (1st Prize);
• 2005 — Pablo Sarasate International Competition, Spain (2nd Prize);
• 2005 — Paganini Moscow International Violin Competition, Russia (2nd Prize).
