Born in Porto, Portugal (1981). Graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London. Leader of the Galitzin String Quartet, which has held the RAM’s Leverhulme Chamber Music Fellowship for two years. Participated in master classes with such prominent musicians as Norbert Brainin, Thomas Brandis, Vadim Brodsky, Sergey Kravchenko and Maxim Vengerov, as well as in the Paganini, Berio and Nono Festivals in London. Recited with such orchestras as Gulbenkian Orchestra, Portuguese Symphony Orchestra and the Macedonia Philharmonic. Recently performed as a soloist at the final concert of a Beethoven’s Concertos series with the Orchestra of the Algarve. Also featured extensively on Portuguese Radio and TV. A jury member of the Portuguese Radio and TV Award for Young Musicians (2007).
