Our city is one of the world renowned musical capitals, being a unique school of talents. That is precisely why this traditional competition of violinists enjoys authority and attention over both professionals and music lovers. Symbolically, the Fourth Paganini Competition is hosted by Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, which celebrated its 140th anniversary this year. It is this concert stage from which dozens of brilliant performers have made their steps into the world of great music. It was hard to believe four years ago that the great maestro’s name would soon be gathering brilliant musicians from many countries in Moscow, being both the jury members and the honest competitors. However, the time has passed and it has become obvious that the violin passion and energy have echoed in people’s souls again, as well as that the Paganini Moscow International Violin Competition has become a significant and heartwarming event for all admirers of the violin art.
Paganini is the greatest and legendary master of the violin art, unsurpassed so far. Remembering his glorious name, it is the fourth time that Moscow is becoming the violin art capital hosting famous masters, young musicians and the violin lovers from all over the world. I wish great excitement and new discoveries to our keen and enlightened audience, as well as another victories and creative achievements to our young virtuosos!
